The seven are clarity, correctness, conciseness, courtesy, concreteness, consideration, and completeness.

Clarity

The receiver of the message understands what you mean. Clarity is to make sure that the receiver of the message can understand your message. Giving an example, we should be clear when we are giving instructions to somebody.

Correctness

Conciseness

Conciseness is a very important concept of communication because it describes how to communicate with others. So, conciseness means to communicate clearly and precisely, so that our messages are understood and received by others.

Concreteness

Concreteness is a concept of communication in which we have to express our messages in a very clear and specific language. For example, when we are in a meeting, we should express our messages clearly and concretely so that other people will understand.

Concurrence

Concurrence is a concept of communication in which we have to be sure that the message we send has been understood by the receiver.

We can do this by asking the receiver to repeat our message. If he or she repeats the same message, then it means this message has been received correctly.

Concern or Consideration

Concern or consideration is a very important concept of communication because it is what distinguishes human beings from animals. It is not good to talk to others without any concern or consideration. For example, if we want to send an e-mail message, we should consider the feelings of our friends and family members.

Completeness

Completeness is another concept of communication in which we have to give complete information when we communicate with other people. When we communicate with other people, there are opportunities to clarify our messages so that other people will understand well.

If there is some missing information, then they may ask us questions. Then, we should be able to provide the correct and complete answers to their questions.

Challenges

Communication is a process in which two or more people exchange information and ideas. However, sometimes it can be frustrating because not everyone can understand our messages.

Lack of communication skills will cause problems in our daily lives. So, we have to take care of these concepts so that we will be able to communicate with other people.

Applications
